VW Transporter servicing & cambelts
The unglamorous work that keeps a van earning. Oil, filters, brakes and the cambelt that will end your engine if it is ignored. Booked in around your work where we can.
- Family-run since 2020
- T5, T5.1 and T6
- Used parts on the shelf

What we cover
Routine work on T5, T5.1 and T6 Transporters.
Oil and filter service
Oil, oil filter and a proper look over the van while it is up. The cheapest thing you can do for a diesel engine.
Full service
Oil, air, fuel and pollen filters, plus a check of brakes, suspension, tyres and everything we can see from underneath.
Cambelt and water pump
The one that matters. A snapped belt on these engines means a new engine. If you do not know when it was last done, assume it is due.
Brakes
Pads, discs, calipers and handbrake faults. On a loaded van, brakes wear faster than people expect.
Pre-MOT check
We look over the van beforehand so you are not paying for a retest over something obvious.
Suspension and steering
Bushes, drop links, track rod ends and the knocks and clonks that come with a working van.
How we work
Told before, not after
You get a call before anything beyond the agreed work gets done. No surprise items appearing on the bill at collection.
Used parts where they make sense
Because we break Transporters, we can often fit good genuine used parts instead of expensive new ones. On an older van that can be the difference between fixing it and scrapping it.
Honest about what can wait
If something is worn but has months left, we will tell you and you can plan for it rather than being pushed into it today.
Servicing and cambelts, questions and answers
How often should a Transporter cambelt be changed?
Follow the interval for your engine and year, and if there is no history assume it is overdue. It is a big bill, but it is nothing next to a new engine.
Can you service my van without voiding the warranty?
For vans still in manufacturer warranty, check the terms first. For everything out of warranty, an independent service with the right parts and a stamped book is perfectly fine.
Do you do MOTs?
We do not test on site, but we will look the van over beforehand and sort anything that would fail, so you are not paying for a retest.
